Ingredients (Pie Filling):

5 medium apples

1/2 cup raisins soaked in water for 2-4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

juice from 1/2 lemon

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Ingredients (Cobbler Topping):

1 1/2 cup pecans, not soaked

3/4 cup dates, pitted and soaked

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Peel and chop one of the apples. Place it along with the remaining filling ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender. Puree until completely smooth and creamy. Set aside. Peel, core and thinly slice remaining apples. Place slices in a large bowl and gently toss with pureed mix. Place in a medium-sized oblong or square glass pan or square ceramic dish.

For the topping, pulse the pecans in a food processor until finely ground then add the dates and continue to pulse until evenly mixed. Crumble an even layer of the pecan mixture over the apples. Place the pan in the dehydrator at 115 degrees F for about 1 hour. Enjoy!
